We begin with a site walk: mapping ramps, drains, utility covers, planters, and high-traffic lines. We set route priority with you so critical entries never slip.

After the storm, we reopen drains, restack piles, and leave entrances spotless for morning traffic.

We confirm ADA compliance on every pass, keep hydrants and fire lanes visible, and coordinate with city plows to reopen curb cuts.

  • Sensitive finishes tagged
  • Backup crew reserved for spikes

Deep dive: melt strategy for city hardscapes

City surfaces are variedstone plazas, brick walks, polished concrete, metal thresholds. We inventory them, then pick chemistry that protects color, grout, and texture.

We track application volumes to minimize residue and staining. If temps crash, we switch to blends that stay active longer without harming pavers.

Every choice is documented, so if questions arise, answers are immediate.

Operations dashboard you can trust

We provide a simple dashboard: ETAs, loop progress, photos, chemical logs, and notes, all in one place.

Data includes response times, friction readings, and melt usage per surface so you can audit performance and budgets.

We also surface recommendations: add refreeze sweeps, adjust push zones, or swap chemistry based on upcoming temps. You approve, and we execute.

Metrics we track nightly

  • Average loop time by site
  • Friction scores before/after each pass
  • Chemical volume per surface
  • Close-out verification steps
  • Hotline pickup speed

Because we measure everything, we improve everything. Your city sites benefit from a feedback loop that never sleeps.

Lock in your city crew now

Reserve your slot before the forecast spikes. We will map your entrances, set triggers, and stage equipment a few blocks away for rapid response.

By 1942, Wayne Poulsen, a former star skier from the University of Nevada, had acquired 2,000 acres (810 ha) in the valley from the Southern Pacific Railroad. Poulsen met Alex Cushing, a Harvard University-trained lawyer, in 1946 while Cushing was vacationing at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort. During his vacation, Cushing toured the valley at Poulsen's invitation and decided to invest in building a ski resort there. Unlike Poulsen, Cushing had the political connections and access to the capital necessary to create a ski resort. In June 1948, the two founded the Squaw Valley Development Company and Cushing replaced Poulsen as president of the Squaw Valley Development Corporation by October 1949. Squaw Valley Ski Resort opened on Thanksgiving Day 1949. The resort was constructed with $400,000 raised by Cushing, including $150,000 of his own money. The creation of the Squaw Valley Development Corporation and Squaw Valley Ski Resort mark the modern era of the valley.
